If you plan on walking around the south Chicago suburb of Lynwood, make sure you keep your pants pulled up. Village leaders have passed an ordinance that carries a $25 fine against anyone showing three inches or more of their underwear in public. Mayor Eugene Williams is sick and tired of young men walking around town with pants that are three times too big and buckled around the knees. The American Civil Liberties Union says the ordinance targets young men of color. Young men in Lynwood says the new law infringes on their personal style.

If you're looking to cut back on your booze intake, just turn down the music. A French study has found cranking up the volume caused drinkers to down a glass of beer about three minutes faster than when the music was softer. Researchers visited two bars and observed 40 men aged 18-to-25 drinking beer. With permission of the bars owners, the researchers turned the music levels up and down, recording how much and how quickly the men drank. Louder music caused the average number of drinks ordered to rise from two-point-six to three-point-four, and time taken to consume a beer fell from an average of just under 15 minutes to just under 12 minutes. Details of the study are in the journal "Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research."

As A-B-C and FOX come calling, and Conan O'Brien gets ready to move to Burbank next September, Leno tells U-S-A Today, "I am definitely done next year -- with N-B-C." As for the prospect of just riding off into the sunset, a la Johnny Carson, Leno adds, "I'm not a beach guy, and the last time I was in my pool was to fix a light. Don't worry, I'll find a job somewhere."

A man who captured a 103-pound turtle argues the animal is of record-breaking size, but experts doubt his claim is warranted. Jim McKnight was fishing for bass in southeast Oklahoma when he hooked the large turtle. McKnight contacted the media and provided photos of the turtle to prove it is a record-breaker. He said a local game warden confirmed it is a typical snapping turtle that weighs 35 pounds more than any other snapping turtle of its kind on record. Wildlife diversity biologist Mark Howery has seen pictures of the animal and insists it is not a regular snapping turtle. Howery says its an alligator snapping turtle, which can often weigh much more than 103 pounds.

A man in India who took an impersonator to court to get a divorce faces legal action after his real wife found out. Saha's real wife was then asked to leave the marital home. She has since appealed the ruling at a higher court, charging her husband with cheating, and the original divorce was suspended.

Ever met a man named Jim Smith? Jim Smith has. A four-day Jim Smith Society Fun Fest wrapped up yesterday in Pittsburgh. The society was formed in 1969 by – you guessed it – Jim Smith to celebrate one of the most common names in America. The group boasts about 1,900 members. The Jim Smiths went on a sightseeing tour and played golf during their gathering. To join the Jim Smith Society potential members must – yup – be named Jim Smith. But even that rule is flexible. Two women, both named Jimmy Anne Smith, are part of the society. Jamie is also an acceptable name.

An upstate New York man lost the same leg twice. Scott Listemann says he just laughs about losing his foot and lower leg, “both the first time and the second time.” The Poughkeepsie man lost his leg below the knee in a November, 2007, accident. Listemann, 47, lost his prosthetic leg last month while skydiving. The lower leg below the knee, with a foot clad in a running shoe, flew off after he jumped from the plane. Listemann says he’s sure “it will show up eventually.” He has distributed flyers in hopes someone will find his leg and call him.

Randy Travis is busy promoting the release of his new country album, “Around the Bend,” but he’s not too busy to stay fit. Travis told GAC’s “CMA Celebrity Close Up” that he goes to the gym for an hour or more six days a week, a schedule he has stuck to for 30 years. There have been a few adjustments in his workouts – like giving up running to save his knees. The 49-year-old also said he used to engage in vigorous karate workouts with bandmate Gary Carter, but injuries caused him to end that. “My nose has been rebuilt three times,” he said. “You get tired of that.”

Kellie Pickler will release her self-titled sophomore album on September 30th. Most artists put out eponymous debut C-Ds, but Kellie explains, "The material on the new album is part small-town girl, but also a reflection of the experience I've had over the last two years. I've matured some, seen a lot more of the world, and naming the album Kellie Pickler says, 'This album is me, this is who I am and where I am.'" The disc includes Kellie's latest single, "Don't You Know You're Beautiful," as well as "Best Days of Your Life" which she co-wrote with B-F-F Taylor Swift.

The Jolie-Pitts have left the building. That would be Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new twins Knox and Vivienne, and the building would be the hospital in Nice, France where the tots were born on July 12th. Angelina Jolie and her new spawn were smuggled out of the Lenval Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday morning -- as most of the world's paparazzi slept.

That wraps up another Monday with Carolina Country Cruizin with Matt and Dee. Please keep it rolling on Wheelz 100.5!
