I will keep you posted on the dates and times. If you would like to know more about Jay and the show go to www.scoutdoors.com or if you would like to plan your own fishing trip with Steve English check out his site at www.fisingwithsteveenglish.com (Once I get the pictures from Jay I will post them on our blog)

Alan Jackson -- who just celebrated surpassing the 50-million mark in career record sales, and also has 33 number-one hits to his credit -- never set any career goals. He says, "I'm not that competitive. Like Minnie Pearl always said, 'I'm just proud to be here and that's the truth.'" Alan's next single from his Good Times C-D is "Country Boy."

Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Josh Turner, LeAnn Rimes and Dolly Parton are auctioning the shirts off their backs for charity. The You Look Good in My Old T-Shirt Auction, which is being hosted by Keith's website, gives fans the opportunity to bid on autographed T-shirts once worn by the stars. Keith says, "My friends in the community have joined me in digging out some of our old T-shirts that we may have worn on stage or just around town, and we're putting them up for auction." Bids can be placed at KeithUrbanAuction-dot-com. All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's hospital.

Jessica Simpson will make her Grand Ole Opry debut on September 6th. Jessica couldn't have picked a better night to perform on the show -- Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless and Roy Clark will all be taking the stage the same night. Jessica's first country album, Do You Know, will be in stores on September 9th.

Carrie Underwood is among the 20 celebrities who have autographed purses to be auctioned off for Handbags for Hope with proceeds going to the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer

Foundation. Keith Anderson is a perennial favorite in country music "sexiest" polls -- having been named Country Weekly's third-sexiest bachelor and having appeared on People magazine's "50 Hottest Bachelors" list -- but he wasn't always a jaw-dropper. He tells us he has to endure lots of ribbing from old friends who remember when he wasn't so hot. Keith says they often call and tell him, "I got some pictures. I have some pictures from high school. Let's see if People magazine thinks this is sexy."

Toby Keith, Clint Black, Joe Nichols and Jessica Simpson are taking part in an ABC variety special honoring U.S. troops. They’ll perform from stages around the country and at military bases worldwide. The two-hour special, “America United: In Support of Our Troops,” airs September 7th on ABC

Tim McGraw and John Rich will join Dierks Bentley when he hosts his third annual Miles & Music for Kids celebrity motorcycle ride and concert to benefit Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Taking place October 5th, the hour-long ride begins south of Nashville and ends at Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville with a concert featuring the three stars. Additional artists are expected to be announced soon.

Over the last few years, Martina McBride has been learning a lot about wine, so it should come as no surprise that People-dot-com recently spotted her and her husband John sampling some vintages at a private tasting at a Sonoma, California winery. Martina says her preferences run toward cabernets. She tells us, "I like really big, rich wines, but I still have a lot to learn." While at the winery, Martina toured the property and signed a guitar for a charity auction.

Country stars are lining up behind their picks for president and getting ready to show their support by playing at various receptions around the Democratic and Republican conventions. Willie Nelson and Jerry Jeff Walker will be heading to Denver for the Democratic National Convention from August 25th through the 28th. LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Charlie Daniels and John Rich will be in Minneapolis for the Republican National Convention, which starts on September 1st.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia is at it again. "The Brady Bunch" alum Maureen McCormick is taking on the responsibility of running a bed and breakfast in rural Tennessee in the new CMT reality series "Outsiders Inn." The actress says having such a business is something she's always wanted to do. Joining McCormick in her venture are her former "Gone Country" co-stars, one-time New Edition member Bobby Brown, serving as entertainment director at the bed and breakfast, and Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson, as master chef for the inn. McCormick is best known for playing Marcia Brady on the classic TV series "The Brady Bunch." Her other reality credits include VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club." Two northern California men and two men from Georgia will hold a press conference today to talk about their claims of having DNA proof Bigfoot exists. The two Georgia men claim they found the creature's body in the woods of northern Georgia. Photos released online show the large, hairy beast crammed into a freezer where it was apparently being preserved. The beast is seven-foot-seven and weighs more than 500 pounds, with red eyes and human-like teeth. The men say all will be revealed at today's Northern California press conference.

Older age does not necessarily mean a decrease in a person's sex drive. A new survey of the elderly by University of Chicago researchers has found that more than three-quarters of men ages 75 to 85 and around 50-percent of women that age are still interested in the hanky panky. The study polled three-thousand American men and women ages 57 to 80 who still live independently. The survey also found that two-thirds of the men and nearly half of the women had been sexually active in the past year. One hurdle in an active sex life for older Americans is losing their partner. Among women age 70 and older, the survey found that 70-percent have outlived or are separated from their spouses. Among men in that age group, 35-percent have lost a long-time partner.

The release date for the sixth Harry Potter movie, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” has been pushed back to July 2009 from its original November 2008 date. Warner Bros. said the change would not alter production plans for the final, two-part Potter movie adventure, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” The release date for part one is tentatively set for November 2010.

Parents are angry about the newly released “High School Musical” underwear that say “Dive In.” One woman bought a 5-pack for her daughter, assuming that they were safe because they were “Disneyapproved.” “It is inappropriate because it is sexually suggestive,” said Sue Ralph. The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children was also angered, saying, “This is part of a worrying trend of inappropriate clothing marketed at young children.”

A woman is being evicted from her apartment in a Welsh housing project because of her overactive flushing finger. Mynwen Jones angered neighbors with her odd bathroom habits -- including flushing the toilet twice after each use and using the facility at what were described as "anti-social hours." Jones was described as "irrational" and as a "nuisance neighbor" who would never change her ways in the court order evicting her.

Law enforcement official arrested a murder suspect in Montana after he tried to give them a false name -- forgetting that he had his real name tattooed on the side of his head! Sterling Wolfname was taken into custody at a men's shelter in Billings, where he'd gone to get a free meal. He presented a fake I-D, but cops weren't swayed and busted him. He's being held on one-million dollars bond.

A one-horse town wants to get rid of its one horse. The City Council in Hickman, Nebraska, is standing by an order that Harley Scott must move his horse, named Peter Rabbit. The horse is in a pasture in the fast-growing suburb of the state capital of Lincoln. The council voted this week to enforce a livestock ban. Scott says he has no intention of moving his horse. The 76-year-old says his family has had horses on the property since his father bought it in 1935. He adds his 32-year-old horse is too old to move. If Scott doesn’t comply by the September 15th deadline, he risks a possible
$100-a-day fine.

A problem with a pump cost a San Antonio, Texas, convenience store a fortune when premium gasoline accidentally sold for 38 cents a gallon. Manager Jim Duke at a Dill Food Market says that grade of gas was supposed to be selling for $3.89 a gallon. Nobody reported the mistake, which apparently started Tuesday afternoon. Duke said he noticed a lot of vehicles were being filled with premium and people were paying at the pump. He went out to check Wednesday and noticed the price error. The pump malfunction was fixed soon afterward. Duke said the gas station lost a lot of money. Just how much is still being tallied.

A Fullerton, California, woman gave birth without assistance on the front lawn of her home after driving home from the mall. Jessica Higgins, 36, didn’t expect to give birth for another six weeks, but her baby had other plans. With no hospital close by and time running out, Mary Claire was born right on her front lawn. Jessica called 911, but her young daughter had already arrived by the time police got there. Officers found Higgins standing in the driveway, rocking the newborn, whose umbilical cord was still attached. A few minutes later, Higgins’ shocked husband arrived – just in time to cut the cord. Jessica and her newborn were taken to a hospital.

Another great week and now weekend time is here! Make sure to come back on Monday for another great week of winnning and fun!
